I know it's probably considered quite gauche nowadays but I was thinking about this the other day and it was quite possibly the funniest programme I'd ever seen when I was young. The one where they go to a miners' union's holiday and get 2 of the men to take union sanctioned ballet lessons literally made my sister wet herself with laughter. Even thinking of the 'good toes, naughty toes' bit still makes me grin. Then there's the man who sublets his B&B room and the other man who pretends to eat a goldfish in a dry cleaner's (links below, can't hyperlink at work). I can remember hiring the compilation videos from Video80 so many times. Whilst the ballet one may have relied on some subconscious homophobia, the sketches seem to have a lot of heart and warmth. Peter Dulay in particular seemed like such a lovely man.

Just reading online about another presenter, Bill Lynton, and this bit made me laugh...

QuoteI particularly like the one where he is dictating a threatening letter to an unsuspecting secretary to type out. How he keeps a straight face is beyond me.
