The same Assange who gets sent expensive suits by the chairman of the New York Republican State Committee's finance committee and whose organisation met with Trump Jr. during the election campaign?

That fiercely independent scourge of the establishment?

What's it feel like lamely parroting bullshit 'resistance' talking points?

The Assange I'm talking about is this one the US, Trumps admin in fact, are seeking to arrest and prosecute - https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/apr/21/arresting-julian-assange-is-a-priority-says-us-attorney-general-jeff-sessions

QuoteThe arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is now a "priority" for the US, the attorney general, Jeff Sessions, has said.

Hours later it was reported by CNN that authorities have prepared charges against Assange, who is currently holed up at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

QuoteNow in power, their attitude seems to have reverted to Republican orthodoxy. In a speech last week in a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, the CIA director, Mike Pompeo, said: "It's time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is: a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia."

He added: "Julian Assange has no first amendment freedoms. He's sitting in an embassy in London. He's not a US citizen."

What's it feel like having Vladimir Putin's hand shoved so far up your arse his fingernails are scratching your tonsils? Asking for, well, all of us, really.

Gilbertharding there, who thinks journalists should be imprisoned, persecuted and tortured for revealing the criminal wrongdoing of the US and UK government.

Attempting to extradite Assange when he leaves the embassy would be the stupidest thing the US could do. It'd be smarter to ignore him which would make his claims look pretty ridiculous, as well as lending more weight to the idea that his claiming asylum has more to do with dodging the Swedish charges. Discrediting him would do far more damage to him than turning him into an imprisoned martyr.

Julian Assange's main problem is if he left his self-imposed, broom-cupboard solitary and didn't get immediately arrested by plods, extradited to Sweden, found guilty of rape, extradited to US, charged with treason, do 30 years on death row then get firing-squaded to death it would mean that Julian Assange was wrong about something and Julian Assange can't be dealing with such possibilities.

Like an inverse Truman Show. When he leaves just act like no one knows who he is. Make him question whether he's made up all his back story in his head; trying to work out why he's speaking in an Australian accent.  For this to work effectively you would have to get Pamela Anderson to play along mind.

Theyve charged Assange, but its a secret https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/world/national-security/julian-assange-has-been-charged-prosecutors-reveal-in-inadvertent-court-filing/2018/11/15/9902e6ba-98bd-48df-b447-3e2a4638f05a_story.html

And all the msm 'journalist's and the resistance who bristled with fake indignation that Trump was rude to a CNN presenter will honk with approval like performing seals that Trump is actively trying to prosecute an actual journalist actually telling truth to power, rather than just chasing ratings.

The UN human rights committee yet again reiterate that the UK is behaving illegally and arbitrarily detaining Julian Assange, Sajid Javid treats the whole thing as a big joke
