Wasn't there something about how she always wanted a birthday present, but she never got one because she's a dirty parentless loser?

Close but no cigar; she got one because she was a dirty pantieless hoser.

Mister Six

I knew it was something like that.

Wow!  Don't care for Doctor Who and don't watch it but that's fucking appalling!  If it were two separate series (and two separate incarnations of the Doctor), then I could understand but within the same series, with the same Doctor?!  Fuck me!  How do these people get work, much less be called professionals?!

In 1988 they did the same story twice. In the same series. Which only had four stories in it.

So, two wrongs make a right?

To be fair one of the versions of the story was good.

Just for perspective, like. Seems a very minor thing to get upset over - presuming you weren't being sarcastic.

I was being sarcastic, mate.  Sorry.

Recaption away, Photoshoppers!

Wait; is this era of Doctor Who in fact meant to be mainly Ryan's story?  It began with his YouTube incantation after all.

I assumed it was meant to be about all the companions though - maybe that's wrong of me.

Mister Six

Is that photo a metaphor for Yaz's prominence in the series?

It's pretty odd, isn't it.

Yeah the cast are having fun and being a bit silly, but being one of the first pieces of promotional imagery for series 12 it was bound to have a different status, and in that context it's so weird.

Just a little bit about RTD and Moffat in relation to Chibnall Who:

Holy fuck, RTD is tall.

edit: also, they're lovely in that interview.

Once stood next to him in the Tesco express at the start of the curry mile. He's a big chap, and very, expressively, loud.

Anyway, carry on.

He was sat down when I saw him.

Still taller then me.

Replies From View

Not so much tall as "constantly standing on a hoverboard".

Of course.  You can't balance Doctor Who, Sherlock and a beard can you?

The beard will probably grow okay for the first year and a half. And then stop suddenly for 6 months.

Why do you even need such a long beard?

Mister Six

But Moffat promised us "more beard than ever".

Norton Canes

Yeah and we ended up with a split beard

Mister Six

To be fair, while the beard was patchy, it was mostly very good.

Meanwhile, here's Chibnall's offering:
