16. Version 2.0

Not so long ago they put us out to pasture (so to speak) and replaced us with these bastards...

I mean, come up. They don't even look like real cows.

17. Music

Just so we're clear our favourite album is NOT Atom Heart Mother...

Also, Moving Geltine Plates... What the Fuck?

Gregory Torso

18. Great Pak Choi.

Mary has had recurring dreams of a great Chinese cabbage within a perfect concrete field.

The other cows glance at her misshapen, blocky head and stare stoically ahead, as if they had any agency in this matter.

"Pak choi... " whisper the fields at night when the mist is thick around their knees like living smoke.

I seem to recall, from one of the Mark Steel's In Town programmes, there's a concrete hippopotamus in somewhere like Middlesbrough that's a local landmark despite being only about 2ft high?

Anyway, in Bristol we do things properly.

(the timing of this thread is weird, I'm currently re-reading Charles Stross's Laundry Files series, the MK concrete cows feature in one of the novellas though it talks about there being eight of them, when I think there are only six in real life?)

The mandela effect strikes again?

19. This has to stop!

Mary has been nervous and withdrawn for weeks now. Occasionally muttering 'kill me now' under her breath when she thinks no one is listening.

When will these bastards learn!!

I assumed it was a conscious choice on the part of the author, to underline that the reality in the series is a slightly different one to our own. He's on Twitter, maybe I'll ask him. Or were there maybe eight to being with but only six now? Wikipedia (yes, I know) doesn't say, so I'll presume not.

20. How now brown cows

It's very obviously a puppet, with four real cows living up it.

Attention seeking bastards.

I bet it's full of Greeks trying to sneak into Troy. Nice try.

21. Religion

Those were the days...

... not like now. Atheist bastards!

22. Crime

Brendon was stolen from some nob's back garden the other day. If you know anything about this then have a word with the rozzers. Lets get these thieving bastards!

Visited by one of those Cooked and Bombered people that they have these days. Dreadful fellow... Did not observe the correct blood sacrifice... Couldn't even fit his own head into a selfie properly. Expected better. Rating: Three out of Ten pats.

I have much love for the CC's and fruit!

This feels like it needs a waxwork renee popping his head into shot.

'A me... (a me...) ((a me...))

I wish... I wish I LIVED HERE...'

I have just realised I was pissing about with these national treasures on 2 separate occasions if my hats are anything to go by

The more worrying thing is you behaved like this in front of somebody else. Who was the person taking pictures.

we may never know as these are the original cows that have been put in the MK Museum*
