Leslie Joseph didn't even become famous until she was in her 70s so there's hope for us all.

Yeah, I'd love to get that far without being famous. Bet there's even older people not subjected to it at all!

Bunch of young whippersnappers! Age doesn't matter until you're in triple figures at least.

I'm currently 24 and have yet to feel that 'I'm how old' shock. A lot of people my age mention feeling old and I just reply that they're nutcases, I'm a strapping young lad thank you very much.

Hopefully I don't sound like an arse for saying this, but I do wonder how the experience of feeling like you're old will differ for people your age (born in the late 90's or later). I wonder if there's such a flood of information these days that there won't be the mental 'space' to sense time passing in the same way. Not to say that people won't one day say things like "Wow, I can't believe it's been 20 years since INSERT CULTURAL TOUCHSTONE OF 2018 THAT I LITERALLY CAN'T THINK OF came out" but with the internet spreading its tendrils into every space and mind on the planet I wonder if nostalgia will exist in the same way.

i really like the age mix in here but what is more incongrous? People in their mid-twenties chatting regularly on a messageboard with folk old enough to be their parents about classic bands from the 1960s, Doctor Who, alcholism and wanking or fifty somethings rubbing shoulders with millenials to discuss transgender politics, Red Dead Redemption 2, alcoholism and wanking?

Ill take the first one please, hey I like stuff like XTC and Madness too. You can be my new father figure, or at least a cool uncle type!

I'll get us a pint from the bar eh?

I'll probably say this for the death of Bowie, or for 2016 in general.

2016 was the year of Brexit, Trump and everyone dying. The last two years seem rather listless compared to that. (Except for me getting married in 2017 of course)

She was 44 when she made her debut in Birds of a Feather.

QuoteIn May 1973, Joseph appeared in Godspell at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth.

Subtract from your age the number of years you've been posting on CaB and that's how young you could be.

Add to your age the number of years you've been posting on CaB and that's the age you've made yourself.

I'm potentially 23, but thanks to this lovely place I've the body and mind of a 33 year old.

This is a better thread if you go by presenters of Blue Peter you remember.

(Katie Hill, Tim Vincent, Stuart something or other).

Was she the good one who wrote about funerals and was a commie rather than a nazi?
