Radio 4’s 2019 comedy roster

A little bit reluctant to do one thread as so much has been announced, but there's also not much detail at the moment.

As per other discussions, the press release descriptions for shows mentioned in these articles would make the greatest sitcoms sound like complete duds, so best not getting too hung up on vague details.

Personally, I'm mainly interested in:

Louise Ford and Yasmine Akram will write #GODSWORK for the station, a new comedy focusing on three different vicars whose churches are based in the North East of England. The vicars will all be played by Rowan Atkinson.

I was intrigued by this as well:

Mayoress, a comedy from Brenda Gilhooly which stars Harry Hill, Jack Dee and Michelle Collins, which was first piloted as an online show, will also come to Radio 4 as part of the Playhouse season.

However, that's mainly because I remembered the Kickstarter launch (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/themayoress/the-mayoress-the-sitcom/description), but couldn't remember if it was completed.

I know this is against the general consensus of CaB, but I really miss the panel shows Radio 4 used to put out. The likes of Heresy, King Stupid/The 99p Challenge, Charm Offensive, Does The Team Think and So Wrong It's Right were always good fun, but beyond the staples like ISIHAC and The News Quiz, there don't seem to be many of them about nowadays.

That show by Mark and Elliot Steel sounds good though.

BBC have announced their Christmas lineup, which includes Diane Morgan on 6 Music and a 90 minute show with Tim Key and Stewart Lee talking about obscure music, or something. Looks good!
