Ha ha ha! Laughter in song lyrics

Calistan

Fire by Arthur Brown has some damn good cackling.

Also, unsure if it counts, but I've always liked Kim Deal laughing at Frank Black's screams on Ain't That Pretty At All: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n9aivoGtAQ

Another Pixies one - Women of War https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9BppDosyl8

Suffer Little Children by The Smiths: "we will haunt you when you laugh."

Still seems extremely bold to cover that topic in a song.

Not lyrics to a song exactly, but I just came across this oddity:

The Okeh Laughing Record (1922)

Crabwalk

'Funny Ha Ha' by My Life Story just popped into my head while reading this thread. I quite liked them at the time but looking back that song and video are an absolute holocaust.

The Culture Bunker

"Mr Jones" by the Psychedelic Furs:

"So good, so far
Slow down, ha ha"

I saw them live once when I was absolutely bladdered and thought they were the greatest band in the world. I was very VERY wrong.

Kevin Rowland on Dexys' 'Until I Believe In My Soul'

"That's all there ever was
Well, yes, yes, ha ha ha ha ha!"

Some of the most brilliantly hollow and sarcastic laughing in musical history.

Also "India" on the first album - "I'm an American/Ha-ha-ha!"

It's taken me this long to thing of "These Hands" by The Damned. Half the song is just maniacal laughing, then STOP LAUGHING!

There's a great laugh in the middle of Function feat. Manga by The Bug (2:30)
Ha ha ha ha ha!

The "laughing" live version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" by Elvis Presley from 1969, mentioned above, actually charted in the UK in 1982 (reached #25).

Elderly Sumo Prophecy

Byker Grove theme tune from the 90's. Spuggy(?) does a laugh at the end. I suppose it's technically a song.

pupshaw

ha ha ha ha ho ho ho ho
he he he he ho ho ho ho
he he he he he he he he
ha ha ha ha ho ho ho ho

it's "The Laughing Song"

Famous boss, Bruce Springsteen, has a bit of chuckle towards the end of his rendition of the ubiquitous Christmas classic "Santa Claus is Comin' To Town".  If you listen carefully, you can hear Santa himself adding some "ho ho ho"s in the background too!

the ouch cube

It's not exactly the most likeable song in the world (as Stuart from Mogwai once pointed out, it has a bit of a Trump tweet vibe), but I love Axl's cackling towards the end of Get In The Ring, he sounds like a Decepticon

The Bumlord

Not really a lyric but ol' chuckle trousers Roger Waters does one of his manic cackles about 2 mins into Dogs.

And in Sheep too, after the scream at the end of the 'Bleating and babbling' line (one of my favourite songs btw - I love the way Waters' held notes at the end of each line crossfade seamlessly into Wright''s synth lines.

There's also the unidentified chuckle at the end of the first line of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Roger The Hat's distorted laugh in the background on On The Run, and the 'lunatic'' laughing in Brain Damage. I wouldn't class these as being in the lyrics though

"Ha ha, charade you are" must count as being in the lyrics though..
