Wind instruments in general make me feel a bit uncomfortable. BREATH :¢

Shit Good Nose

Two pages and not a single mention of Focus and Thijs Van Leer.  For shame.

It's credited as a flute (played by Robin Williamson) on the album sleevenotes.

Technically a recorder is a type of flute (a fipple, or duct flute), so there you go. It's not what most people would think of as a flute, though.

what about the ubiquitous mellotron recorded flute? made household by strawberry fields but then became a staple of the berlin-school sound thanks to tangerine dream et al.

(yep, guilty as charged)

Apologies to all involved, both here on this board and in the creation of the song in question.

It's right good though.

Isn't that a tin whistle? .
When it comes to flutes I personally love the original 23 min version of Autobahn when Florian puts in a couple of flourishes.

Jimmy Z is a flute, harmonica and sax player. and he's playing a concert flute in the the video as opposed to a tin whistle (which is a member of the fipple flute family like the recorder, but not generally referred to as a 'flute').

Just getting my definitions right, like.
