Benny Hill (when he wasn't doing all the smut) was brilliant. In his later years he bowed under pressure to make the show more and more saucy at ITV and this seems to be what he is solely remembered for. I bloody loved his show as kid and still think a lot of his stuff still stands up today.

I'm 34 and I only know him from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and references to him chasing ladies. Never, ever saw any of The Benny Hill Show source material.
