You may have heard recently we accidently got a little peak at a giant western propaganda operation.

A fake charity, funded by the FCO:

Whose head quarters is a derelict mill:

And who hacked documents show are running a secret list of influencers, filled with Atlantic council propagandists, warmongering msm journalists, politicians, think tanks and even Bill Browder (http://www.magnitskyact.com/) -

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2018/11/british-government-behind-secret-anti-russian-disinformation-campaign.html
https://www.thecanary.co/global/world-analysis/2018/11/29/if-you-thought-the-cambridge-analytica-scandal-was-big-wait-till-you-see-this/

They have of course been promoting Luke Hardings fabricated story about Assange, alongside a relentless stream of other dubious pro NATO, anti Russia propaganda, and their list of twitter chums is a grim litany of the most unhinged and unscrupulous warmongering pissbabies on twitter:

Quote
Luke Harding
Emma Beals
Bob Seely MP
Chris York
Stewart McDonald MP
Brian Whitaker
Dan Kaszeta
James Le Mesurier
Mark Mardell
Ben Bradshaw MP
PropOrNot ID Service
Edward Lucas
Tom Tugendhat MP
Richard Angell
Oliver Kamm
Luke Harding
Carole Cadwalladr
Padraig Reidy
Daniel Finkelstein
Scott Lucas
Oz Katerji
Peter Geoghegan
Jamie Susskind
Michael Marshall
John Schindler
Idrees Ahmad
Ben Nimmo

From the initiatives policy document:
QuoteThe programme has begun to create a critical mass of individuals from a cross society (think tanks, academia, politics, the media, government and the military) whose work is proving to be mutually reinforcing.

Yes, we can see!

We live in an era where the Guardian can print a fabricated story given to them by the security services with total impunity, I'm sure Luke Harding will get promoted for it in fact. So the next time you see a dodgy looking story in the msm saying Russia this, or Syria that, I think we can have a pretty good idea that this network of 'mutually reinforcing' influencers, each echoing each others lies, are behind it.

Then there is the ongoing social media purge of antiwar and leftist accounts, the Atlantic council censoring facebook, and google deranking Russia today, amongst other assaults on our ability to expose and hold these liars to account.

And the msm dares to get on its high horse about fake news? And wonder why nobody trusts them?

Captain Z

We'll introduce to them project fear
among these dark satanic mills

I pasted the list twice and removed the dupes but I'm going to leave him in there because he's twice as bad!

Reddit, Twitter, makeshift infographs – this is serious stuff indeed!

Funcrusher

This is good stuff Biggy, keep the updates coming.

It's interesting to note how many of those names retweeted or promoted Harding's fabricated story about Manafort and Assange. Having had the displeasure to encounter many of these characters, they all tend to echo each other. Here's two of the gang echoing each others smears against a Sheffield university professor they don't like for instance-

Between them all they have millions of followers so that's a pretty major online subversion network spreading fake news isn't it? When will google and Facebook take action?

You have bad judgement about what people are going to be receptive to biggy.

biggytitbo

Robinson doesn't spread pro Assad conspiracy theories though, that's the smear this network have been pushing for ages. There's a whole group of academics, noticing the subject of Syria is dominated by propaganda and information warfare  (with kamm one of the biggest offenders), attempted to bring some academic discipline to it. Kamm and his chums have since been spreading shit about them on Twitter, whilst also blocking them so they can't respond.

edit: never mind

The list I quoted aren't from the leaked documents, they're all people who follow and are followed by the integrity institute (and mostly each other too).

What Putin troll farms? That thing Mueller hilariously tried to indict was a stupid marketing scam that has repeatedly been shown to have had an at best incredibly trivial impact on anything, see here https://consortiumnews.com/2018/10/10/the-shaky-case-that-russia-manipulated-social-media-to-tip-the-2016-election/ and here https://consortiumnews.com/2018/11/02/33-trillion-more-reasons-why-the-new-york-times-gets-it-wrong-on-russia-gate/

This intregity thing alone is vastly bigger in scope and impact, and we're paying for it.

Flights to Kharkiv from Luton are £30 at the moment.

Worth it?

What do you think of Sputnik news biggy?

biggytitbo

It's amazing that a shady UK government funded propaganda outlet is promoting media smears on a University professor -

Sputnik and RT are good places to hear good British journalists and even good British MPs like Chris Williamson address issues the likes of the BBC won't touch with a bargepole. A terribly sad indictment of the UK media, but there we go - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYz9kYZMyTE

What do you think about the issue biggy is raising, mothman?
Do you think it's a good thing that the government funds secret propaganda units to smear dissenters?
Do you think biggy was wrong to raise it?
Play the ball, here.

According to who?

biggytitbo

That's the thing about this Russia stuff, indulge it at your peril because just like in the US where Russiagate was used to smear Bernie Sanders, now its been used to smear Corbyn, and by some dodgy think tank funded by the government too.

Pingers

I should think anyone with any intelligence concluded long ago that all governments are shady, deceitful, anti-democratic and self-serving. I just don't understand why some people want to exempt the Russian government from this conclusion. It's bad enough that the media, likely hand-in-hand with parts of the government, smear Jeremy Corbyn on a regular basis, but at least they don't arrest him every time he attends a protest.

There was some Russian government bloke on the radio the other day complaining that their man didn't get picked to run Interpol, and the interviewer mentioned Navalny, to which the government mouthpiece replied that Navalny represents no-one other than a tiny percentage of people in urban areas and I thought "Well that's probably because you do almost everything in your power to prevent him from organising and intimidate his opponents". I mean, they used to have elections in the GDR and the Communists always got about 98% of the vote. So 98% of residents of the GDR thought the Communists were great, yeah? More GDR please.
