Misguided Tributes

Obviously this is horrible, but that picture, and that headline...

Anyone ever made a misguided tribute to someone? I once waited at a train station for like four hours to apologise to a woman I'd wronged only to find later that she'd travelled by car rather than train. I was also once urged to draw a pen portrait of some housemates after we'd ingested a cocktail of drugs (I'd been complaining that I couldn't draw) and produced such a horrifying image that we kept it on the fridge for months.

That's not how you do a tribute

You do have to wonder though. She was so distressed and desperate for the family not to see it that she removed it immediately because of the harm it might do. Then she went to the papers so everyone in the entire world would see it anyway, including the parents. Doesn't really add up, does it?
