Was this some sort of thing in the 60s? A reference to an ad campaign or something? Harry Palmer says it to his handler/boss in "Funeral in Berlin" (well, handlerboss in his garden says "I like weeds" and Palmer replies breezily "they're easy to grow". And there's this. Any ideas? Love the show.
