Currently binge watching this, although possibly it should be in the guilty pleasures thread. The premise is throw two survivalists, a man and a woman, into a remote area (Amazon, Jungle, Bayou) stark billy bollocks for 3 weeks and see if they can survive. The matching of the partners throws up some nice conflicts. You get a lot of hard bastard US military types being reduced to tears, which never gets old.

Anyway, ace show, recommend it. 9 stars. That's Christmas sorted.

Only time I'v seen it on holiday in the US had a big bodybuilder type having to be shipped out with malnourishment whilst a woman about a third his size made it though fine.

Naked and Afraid XL is also amazing, wherein twelve hardened loons break down gradually over forty days. We're still watching a series where Matt starts on his own and while the rest of the groups are basically slowly dying and starving and psychologically destroying each other, it cuts to his home where he is making a tonne of jerky and just enjoying himself. Love it.
