Very sad to hear of the passing of Leah Bracknell. She was marvellous in Emmerdale, playing a groundbreaking character. One of my favourite characters ever.

I'm very sad as she was on my 2017 list. Her betrayal was such that I've not played since.

Yes feeling rather sad about this

RIP Tommy Udo, a name familiar to anyone who read the NME in the 1990's:

First Swells now Udo, blimey.

Did you type that with your face?!

Elderly Sumo Prophecy

Grave/Burn (his two future career options).

I typed in Gay Burn gif and am now being escorted from my place of work. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Frank Dobson, our MP when we lived in Camden.

Aw, that's sad news, I was always fond of her writing.

RIP
Bob Willis.

The man who actually won the match in the Botham Headingley Test.

kalowski

DC Fontana and DA Pennebaker in the same year?
I bet DJ Fontana is glad that he died last year but DC Lee will be worried.

Shaky

Andrew "Greedy" Smith, co-lead singer (and, pre-death, the sole remaining original member) of Aussie band Mental As Anything. Remember them? They done this for the Croc Dundee soundtrack:

Actually a decent act if you dig into their more new-wavey early stuff, and "Greedy" was always a bit of a character on TV shows here. 63 is no age at all to croak.

Attila

Aw...they did some stuff for Yahoo Serious, as well.

I know people thought his films were dumb, but he had terrific soundtracks on Young Einstein and Reckless Kelly.

The brilliant Rene Auberjonois has died. Absolutely gutted at this. Was watching a few Odo clips from DS9 earlier today. He was such a great actor and it was always a joy to see him turn up in something.

bgmnts

Read that as Rene Aubergine.

Gulftastic

Caroll Spinney, puppeteer for Big Bird and Oscar The Grouch has gone too. If I wasn't on my phone I'd post the clip of him singing at Jim Henson's memorial.

Alberon

That's a shame about Rene Auberjonois. I only recently watched the DS9 documentary What We Left Behind which he featured in. He had a real job acting through that face mask but he did it really well.

He was in Boston Legal but I first remember watching him in Benson which I really liked as a kid.

Deyv

Played Frasier's mentor too.

RIP Rene.

Even through all that latex he could convey as much if not more emotion than actors without prosthetics.

Marina Sirtis (Troi) has tweeted to say that her husband musician Michael Lamper died in his sleep. I saw it and thought she meant Rene at first.

Ballad of Ballard Berkley

Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas is celebrating his 103rd birthday today. I take some small comfort from the thought of Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas one day becoming the world's oldest living human.

Elderly Sumo Prophecy

He was 44 when he made Spartacus. Fuck my hat!

Poobum

Sad about Rene Auberjonois. Didn't realize Aron Eisenberg died in September as well. If Jeffrey Combs goes next it'll be dispair.

SteveDave

Auberjonois one of the great Robert Altman guys

Her out of Roxette

That's sad to hear, apparently it was a 17 year battle against cancer too which must have been beyond shitty.
