Videos of House of Commons debates before 2007

The earliest video I can find showing a debate in the House of Commons is at parliamentlive.tv, from 4 December 2007.

Is 2007 really the earliest year available?  I thought I had seen earlier videos in the past.

Also is there a separate website for audio-only recordings of the House of Commons?  I suspect these would have been available quite a bit earlier than videos.

I have found the *written* words, for example John McDonnell's 1997 speech, but where are the videos?

There's definitely footage from Thatcher right at the end of her reign, where she's in 'fine form' having a laugh and a joke the cheeky scamp.

Yes they started televising from the House of Commons during the 80s.  Whether anybody saw fit to keep the scraps of it they accidentally recorded on VHS is another matter.
