You can listen here: https://internetradiouk.com/resonance-london/

I hope someone's recording this. I can't figure out how the eff to do it on my Mac.

Moonshine

Thanks very much mrfridge

After a lot of dicking about and spaffing £19.99 on a new audio app I think I've got about an hour and 15 mins recorded. It's across three mp3s so I'll need to combine them into a single file, but once done I'll share it. If anyone got the whole thing then please pass on a link!

I won't be able to do this every day so if anyone more reliable is able to archive and share the shows that would be wonderful.

Edited out the tracks, but not in a podcast form unfortunately: https://ufile.io/3f8xqgpk

£19.99 lol you gonk.

So happy we've got soggy bottom broadcasting back filling our ears with sausages of a morning.

mrfridge

Well it is actually something I needed anyway. But yeah it wasn't cheap!

Good work Cakeinmilk. Have you got a full version with the music included that you can share?

Thank you, kind sir.

I have set up two different podcast feeds for this year's shows.  They are:

The full show: http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2019/full
@cakeinmilk's edited versions: http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2019/edited

(@cakeinmilk, I really appreciate you making these, and I hope you don't mind me using them like this!)

Via terminal:

Brew install ffmpeg
ffmpeg http://foo.bar/stream -t 3600 ~/Desktop/foo_bar_stream_mp4

T is the time parameter in seconds. You could use cron or at to schedule the job.

Vlc can do it as well, but you'll have to wait until I'm back in work to dig the command out.

Thanks so much for this. Can't listen live until next week, so these are really great backup!

No worries in the slightest. Do you just need me to provide the edited versions or are you recording the full show?

I am recording the full show, so I should only need the edited versions.  A couple of times last year something went wrong with my recording, so we'll see how it goes!

Sebastian Cobb

Cheers for recording because there's not a hope I'd be able to catch it else.

I can only assume he requested that it wasn't archived by resonance, all their other shows are. There's a good funk/soul show on there called 'New Orleans Strut'.

It doesn't surprise me he's bought the site to its knees, it's always creaking along at the best of times.

Kitson's mother taught at my primary school in the 1970s.

No problem -- I'll reply here in case it helps anyone else.  To subscribe in the Downcast iOS app, tap "Add," then choose "Add Podcast Manually."  Enter the podcast URL (dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2019/full/ or dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2019/edited) in the "Feed" input at the top, then tap "Subscribe" in the upper right.

I tried this just now, and it worked for me, although I had one tricky issue: When I pasted the URL for the feed, it pasted a SPACE at the end of the URL.  If you are getting an error when hitting Subscribe, check for a space and delete it if there is one.

colsimpson

you're all beautiful people and I love you.

Here's to 11 more mornings of having sausages* in our ears.

Barefoot, soggy bottom broadcasting at it's finest.

No you're drunk

I have 3 alarms set, but in the morning, you'll still be lonely

Love you all

GOODBYE FOREVER

Ah shitters, I've already bought the audio recording app. Cheers though, good to know for future reference!

Another tech dunce question; If one wanted to just have the mp3's sat around taking up space on one's hard drive rather than dealing with RSS feeds, etc how would one do it. One is a bit thick.

There wasn't an easy way to download the individual mp3s, but I just made a VERY simple page that has download links, here:

http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2019/full/list.php

Or for the edited versions:

http://dx3x.com/kitson/resonance-fm-2019/edited/list.php

Today's full show is uploaded.

buntyman

Thanks very much for doing this.
I can recommend the Feeder Chrome extension for easy access to the feed and download links. It also has a mobile app that you can listen to it on (and tells you when jim_f has uploaded the next one!). I'm sure there are millions of equivalents but it does the trick for me.

Thanks everyone, you really are terrific.

This is a great effort and really appreciated. Not only because I can't listen live but also because, as much as I love his comedy genius, his taste in music is appalling. (Appalling = hyperbolic way of saying not to my taste at all.)

This plus I just don't have the time to listen to a 2-hour podcast each weekday (on top of my existing podcast-listening commitments).

up_the_hampipe

Thanks for the effort in chopping together those shows!

Does anyone still have the Comedy Store recording? I think it was from 2001.

colsimpson

in case anyone's listening on Kitson's day off may I recommend the Relatively good Radio Show. which is on now, They're on Lewis Schaffer's show on a monday night, he's my second favourite funny cunt, after Danny KitKats, and they're very good. I spent a very good Edinburgh with Anna Crockatt and she's amazing. Yes I fancy her a bit. shush now
