Never done this, thankfully - but have had a few close calls. Seems more easy than ever to accidentally brush the Chromecast logo on your phone while watching filth, or broadcast a private conversation to a Bluetooth speaker in the next room. Any chilling tales, people?

"Honestly love, I've no idea how it got on there, they must've made...a...mistake, with the bill...yes, that's it. A mistake."

Tomorrow I'm moving house, and will go from seven years living in porn-tastic solitude to living with a few mates and a Chromecast in the living room. I am PETRIFIED of accidentally casting something untoward onto the TV, given my rustiness in regards to living with other people. Thin walls too, I think I'm going to have to employ headphones.

When you open your eyes and discover a cup of tea, Chromecast will be the least of your worries.

Not quite the same thing but a while ago there was a group of about 6 of us having a drink in the pub, and during the course of the conversation we needed to google something so my mate put his phone flat on the table and clicked on his browser, and we were all greeted with a choice sight from the last mucky site he'd been enjoying. His wife looked embarrassed but not particularly surprised and the rest of us obviously burst out laughing and took the piss immediately, but he was completely unfazed, literally shrugging and seemingly unable to see why it was even worth commenting on. I dunno but that seemed like a bit of a weird reaction to me, I'm not saying he should have died of shame or that it's remotely shocking that a grown man watches porn on his phone, but having it literally laid out to a table of friends in a packed pub is surely cause for at least a slight 'oops a daisy' rather than 'what?' Maybe I'm just a prude.

One of my housemates has a smart telly with Youtube on it. One time, very late at night, I was watching stuff on my phone and accidentally tapped the button to send it to the telly. Luckily it was just some innocuous music video.

I have never once understood why porn sites have buttons for sharing stuff to social media. Who the hell would click those on purpose?

And how many ''sorry, my facebook was hacked!'' messages have they prompted?

Not Chromecast, but I did once try and show my girlfriend a video of a cute cat or something on my phone and the media player had some sort of malfunction and played the last thing I had watched before that instead, which was a woman being vigorously shafted from behind. So basically I said "Ha, check this out", handed over my phone and saw her expression change as the air was filled with a SLAP SLAP SLAP sound. Her surprised little "oh" still haunts me.

Could have styled it out I supposed. "Yeah, check that out. That thing. Anyway, what do you fancy for tea?".

They know nobody will click the buttons but the fact they're there means they're providing analytics to the people with share buttons.

In other words they let facebook see what grot you've been watching.
