I've always had an interest in Pirate Radio, and recently came across one from 1979 called Radio Enoch, preaching Enoch Powell for 90 minutes. It's surreal listening.

I've long been fascinated by the few pirate TV stations that have existed. There's the intriguing tale of Telstar TV in Birmingham, as detailed over the course of this message board thread:

There was also some sort of attempt at an actual professional pirate TV station in London circa 1986, Network 21:

It's hard to tell how many people actually saw the channel - they weren't using much power and unlike radio people didn't tune around on their TVs to see what they could find.
