Whereas any mention of Clare Grogan reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vckcOvAqveM by twee/anorak/shambling scenesters the Fat Tulips.

There was another Scottish indie band who did a song called 'Te lo de ro' (or whatever it was that Gregory learns from his Italian teacher). Can't remember what they were called now, they were around at the time of Bis. Thoght they were called lung something but I may be getting confused with Lung Leg.

They featured Dep who now works at Monorail music in the Mono café.

I only saw it the once in the cinema when it came out. Even at the time, I remember thinking the opening scene was horribly misjudged.

In almost every interview with Forsyth I've read and heard in the last few years he's said that he doesn't keep abreast of the times (and I took that to mean socially, culturally and politically), to the point where as recently as one I heard a few years ago he said he still had a CRT/VHS combi which he still used.

I'm not saying that's an excuse, but it could well be a reason...

Well, I've seen " Gregory Two girls " , now. That is easily one of the worst, most cringeworthy, most misjudged films I've ever seen.
