What albums are most people downloading from you at the moment?

Bit of a P2P thread this...

Whilst using Soulseek, I'm always chuffed to pieces when, out of nowhere, someone downloads a deleted album that I've put up deliberately, just on the off-chance anyone's interested and has been searching for it for ages.  However, if I'm being honest, most people aren't on there to download Animals That Swim's "I Was the King", and other things tend to clog up the downloads list instead.

So, what do people grab from you the most?  Have you ever been tempted to remove it entirely?

I'm not on broadband at the moment, but when I was the most popular choice by far was LCD Soundsystem's album.  Barely an hour passed without a couple of people queueing to download the bloody thing plus the bonus disc.  I suppose I could have had some small consolation in the fact that they probably found it as disappointing as I did, though.

In second place, somewhat surprisingly, is an off-air of Pulp's last live gig in Britain (Auto). Presumably this has a place of affection in a lot of people's hearts.

So what are yours?  And what do you wish people would download more?

I'm on Limewire, and it seems that most people are after Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. Every other day someone tries to upload it from me, and well they should, for it's a damn fine album.

The last Peel Fall session is also surprisingly popular, and the Jandek live mp3s. So yeah, it looks like a lot of people are after quite niche/cult stuff. I mean, I've got a load of more mainstream/pop songs, but no one ever seems to want them. Rather encouraging, really.

I usually download wrestling, nowadays... However

Last night I downloaded Alien Ant Farm's Truant and Anthology. Queens of the Stone Age's Lullabyes To Paralyze and Frances The Mute by The Mars Volta.

I was tempted to dig that thread up about 10 mins ago... it's released now, any good?

S'alright yeh. John Frusciante and Flea (on trumpet, no less!) make appearances.

Porno Gil. The amount of times I see that episode of CYE being grabbed from me. Bless 'em.

Nick Lowe's 'Jesus of Cool' is proving a big hit at the moment- and rightly so.

I'm intrigued.

side by side. Huh?

I must admit, I've given up on the P2P lark. Saying that, I a run music server, where I've put all my MP3's from Napster etc. but ALL of my users only download my complete Peel shows (about 12 Gb's in the last 3 weeks).
Incidentally, can anyone tell me why the Peel archive thread was locked?
Maybe I've missed the point of this site and not read all of the rules. It's just that there does seem to be a lot of references to P2P networks and various links. Is there a fine line that shoudn't be crossed?

Rats

Beck's new album and clinic's newish album. Before that, it was the two albums I'd downloaded for my fat fatha which were maroon 5 and keane, I took them out of my shared folder so people that deserve to listen to music could get something.

I have a home made music recording i put on my computer for easy access. I called it bukakke (ive no idea why). Every so often someone with a name like Pornobeast678 will attempt to download it from me and then cancel after the first few seconds.

Fuckwittio

I'm finding The White Album, Dangermouse's The Grey Album and especially Os Mutantes' debut are consistently queued up on mine. And, on a non-musical note, on Aresgalaxy, there's always some fucker trying to get Debbie Does Dallas off me. It's just not worth the effort, guys.

MrManson

Crowbar & Hatebreed albums, well, Hatebreed's small release 'Satisfacton Is The Death Of Desire'.

I have never had anyone grab that Hatebreed off me. Weird.

At the moment it's pretty evenly split between Venetian Snares 'Winnipeg is a Frozen Shithole', Refused 'The Everlasting EP' (always at least 1 in the queue for that...quite rightly too), Suffocation 'Pierced From Within' and Dalek 'Negro Necro Nekros'.

Oh and two more twats with names like Adolf and Whitepower grabbed Race Traitor off me. It's my favourite sport...wait for them to finish then about 10 minutes later recieve a threatening message when they realise it's not some bunch of White Noise fucktards but a bunch of commie hardcore kids singing about taking forceful action against fascism and global hegemony. They don't bother checking ALL my files clearly...they see the band name, misunderstand it, see I have a load of Black Metal and think I'm a fellow Heathen NS cunt....if they checked harder they'd see a shitload of Refused records and a load of Chomsky lectures.

Well I find it funny.
