not a fan of oranges in that form, but I will & do eat entire apples, & if one is cut up for the kids, they watch me eat the core. you're supposed to eat the pips. that's how trees propagate themselves.

Warning: apple pips contain cyanide. Probably OK if you don't chew them at all, but don't make smoothies out of whole non-seedless apples (or pears).

Orange pips are OK, though. As is the peel (likewise bananas).
