I still think of him as a young nineties heartthrob. Crazy to think that lad has just died of a stroke. Fine actor too. R.I.P.

I've just remembered he was Cloutier in Oz, one of the most tragic characters on the show.

He's finally left the neighbourhood

Probably involved in one of the more extreme jump the shark narratives.

Glebe

Awful, that's no age. And yes, that was a classic Simpsons moment.

There were a few in the later shows.  Please remind me!

As i recall it was Cloutier was initially saving souls and gaining converts but then i think some of his converts became quite over zealous in their evangelism. Did Cloutier not end up being quite sinister though? Will need to revisit Oz actually was great up to about S4. Perry was tremendous as Cloutier and really captured that whole southern preacher, quite similar to the The Father in Far Cry 5. He ended up getting walled in alive by his followers i think.

momatt

Ha ha, of yeah.
I remember someone being walled up.

I've never seen a show with so much murder and rape, yet being so enjoyable to watch.

Some of the plots were ludicrous, like the ageing drug and the death row photoshoot, but I thought that added to the weird charm of the show, rather than jump the shark moments.

Charm. In a show about rape and murder.
