Favourite Swearing Moments

I alluded to this in another unrelated thread the other day, but some people are just great at swearing aren't they.
They manage to get an extra level of offence out of how they emphasise certain parts of the words.

Peter Cook is my favourite swearer.
Not just for D&C either - the moment at 6:57 here is just beautiful.

Anyway, who's a top fucking foul-mouthed cunt to your ears?

Cuellar

My favourite swearing moments are always where the swearing is bleeped out or covered up. Florence Nightingale in Big Train, Father Ted getting angry at Dougal in the Song for Europe episode.

The minister they interview in the bomb dog section of The Day Today is a recent favourite: https://youtu.be/jGTPqaNP710?t=170

Benjaminos

There's an exchange in the first series of The Thick of It that I've always enjoyed.

Terri: 'Right, we don't exchange insults with Simon.. arsepipes.. titty twat.'
Olly: 'Is that seriously the best swearing you can come up with?'

Edit: also when Mark's going to be discovered in the stationery cupboard in Peep Show, and his internal monologue is 'shit sugar fudge piss poo pants bollocks'.

Chris Donald says that one of the weirdest moments in his life was teaching Peter Cook, one of his heroes, so say 'twat' properly during the Roger Mellie recordings.  We kept pronouncing 'twot.

I have to say that Richard E Grant as Withnail is my benchmark for swearing, the sheer energy and venom put into "What fucker said that?" is glorious.

Kaufman Vs Lawler on Letterman is my all time favourite Censoring, the sound effect used is hilarious. https://youtu.be/11T_-k7ckrg?t=340

I love a good bleep. It's way funnier than the actual expletive most times.
Here's a good example from Trial & Error. It was even funnier considering the character is usually the most gentle character.

When Ted reveals who was responsible for scaring Chris the sheep and there's the crowd muttering and out of nowhere someone shouts "Fuck me!"

I love an off-screen shouted swear out of nowhere. The never-seen Donny from Trailer Park Boys is a masterclass in that trope. "10 fucking dollars! A month!"

'Fucking 'ell!'

It'll be Graham Linehan doing that. The same in the IT Crowd when someone asks Jen if the Internet is heavy and everyone laughs at her. As the tittering peters out you here him say "Fuckin' idiot" with some venom.

Actually, talking of bleeps there's a great part in the People Like Us radio series where Roy can't name the bank "due to obvious financial reasons" so they beep it whenever he says it, but he delivers it in such a way that you can clearly recognise the bank. "Natsuh Westsuh Bank".

It's not swearing, but it tickles me every time I hear it.

Peter Serafinowicz when he opens the window in the couple who never argue sketch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv9GiVJkP9Y

Sex Pistols and Bill Grundy is a great old classic.  Would have had far more impact, then, too.

'Fucking 'ell!'

Annoyingly that bit's often missing on repeats.

Another vote for Withnail here with "You can stuff it up your arse for nothing and fuck off while you're doing it.",

Anything Alan Ford says in The Armando Iannucci Shows.

Another Serafinowicz is the v/o guy saying "once they've had the life fucked into them' in that building a human sketch.

The ''fuck off'' heavy Manc twang Karl does on this as he slams the phone down, fuming at an imaginary scenario

McChesney Duntz

Kevin Kline's torrent of oaths here could stand to be even cruder, really, but it's the last line that seals the fucking deal for me:

And the escalation in the commercial portion of this sketch is sublime:

And, of course, this - said to be the reason Steve Martin signed on to this movie all by itself:

Partridge telling Clifton to "Fuck off" over the traffic cone theft. Was very surprising to hear that word uncensored on TV back then.

According to the commentary they only revealed that to the powers that be once the first episode had been broadcast and well received.

And it works brilliantly - we're as shocked as Dave is.

I heard Iannucci had to fight quite hard to get them to let him do that.

There's a bit in one of the Coogan's Runs, possibly the Paul Calf one where John Thompson's driving a knackered car that brakes down and just lets out a 'cock, piss, poo, bum, bastard, SHITTING WANKER'.
