It's not on the google - also forget comedy, you're looking for information.

Looks like Virgin have got that blocked for me.

Malcy

Search for ProxyBunker and you'll find all the relevant sites.

Am I the only person here who hasn't torrented anything since about 2008?

My first instinct would be to use LimeWire if I was to attempt a torrent today - beat that for "over the hill" torrenting!

momatt

Just got a fairly polite email from Virgin, after torrenting Finding Dory.
That'd be quite an embarrassing reason to go to prison.

Still, really good film.  Worth it.

Alberon

So what are the best direct download sites?

olliebean

Twoddl / Invictus / whatever it's called these days seems OK, although I assume they all link to the same - mostly crappy - filesharing sites.

Twed

How can you torrent an entire telly anyway? How does it get down the wires?

I dunno about them. They always seem to only link to premium download sites that want a subscription off you first

Rlsbb Alberon. Dailyuploads & Ayefiles are the 2 hosts I use most on there. Just have to get used to the download method.

Virgin know all too well that if torrents and streaming disappeared overnight that their business would go tits up and most households, especially students, would opt for cheaper lower bandwidth providers or just use mobile data for porn and such.

I assume they turn a blind eye to 99% of piracy.

Virgin sent me an email recently saying 'ooh you love your broadband don't you? you've done over 120gb this month!' which I took as vaguely passive-aggressive.

They're more unusual than most broadband providers in that they do provide other media through cable and distribution so piracy does actually conflict with their other business interests.

Haha, that is a very strange email indeed. You're on their watch list for sure.

Yeah I get what you mean about how their business operates but I can't help but think that their biggest income is from people who pirate material. I personally don't know of many people who pay to use their tv or film services but use Showbox etc to buggery.

I'm just speculating of course and could be entirely wrong which would be very out of character for me.
