Really sad about this. 'Faces, Places' was really lovely, she was still making great films.

RIP. I really like Cléo de 5 à 7.

I was a volunteer at a film festival a few years ago and she asked me for directions.  that's my Agnès Varda anecdote.

You directed her?

Oh no. Ohhhh no no no. Oh god :( I'm devastated at this news.

What a mind. What a soul. Agh. Au revoir.

Has me tearing up this one.

I'm sure many, even most of us have, but go discover her lovely films if you haven't - they're basically the least pretentious most earnest and thoughtful French films ever!

Sin Agog

Never would I have thought that someone could look so similar to Ann Widdecombe, and yet be so different in every conceivable way.  Gleaned so much from her.  Lovely woman.
