Brexit Thread Seven: More of this shit

I'm not sure a greater commitment to a second ref will help Labour at the polls. While the risk of losing some voters to Brexit is perhaps overstated, I don't think one should underestimate the idiocy of your FBPE diehards who are anti-Corbyn first and pro-Europe second. It wouldn't matter if Corbyn had the European flag tattooed to his chest, they'd still be going "urrrr urrrr actually he's pro hard brexit actually" and they'll vote Lib Dem because they actively enjoy Tory governments.

Fuckwits, the lot of them.

Dr Rock

I reckon about half of the Lib-Dems could be tempted to vote Labour should there be a second referendum in it for them.

Possibly. A lot of new Lib Dem voters are pro-EU Tory refugees and Blairites so a jump to a Labour vote might be a step too far.

However, the mooted referendum will be key if Labour have any hope of forming a functioning coalition with the pro-remain parties.

For a lot of Lib Dems and FBPE twats anything Corbyn or Labour does now that moves towards a remain position will be seen to be jumping on a bandwagon for political expediency rather than true commitment. All this despite Labour actually going a long way towards stopping Brexit happening already every time it has gone to parliament. I imagine the have won and lost as many of them as they are going to and now it is only the more moderate remainers who are up for grabs. Similarly the hard Brexiteers have already made their choice and only the very softest will be swayed towards Labour

Yes, I think this is right.

ZoyzaSorris

I know a lot of people who infuriatingly for whatever reason decided in the euro elections to 'send a message' (somehow missing the fact that we would have left the EU already if it weren't for Corbyn doing so well in 2017 and then frustrating Brexit at every turn in parliament) and vote green (misguided but kind of excusable) or even fucking lib dem (worthy of shooting, including my own sister I might add, what the eff?), but will still definitely vote labour in a general.

I think the hardened FBPE crowd would never vote for a lef wing Labour regardless of Brexit, they are basically mad Lib Dems still left over from the dregs of the Coalition years (imagine how right wing youd have to be for that?)

Nigel Farage's bungs being examined by the EU now according to Channel4 News.

See they're not even lying now, they don't have to. They can laugh in our faces because Biggy has won the culture war. If you object to things that even they themselves admit are bad you're just exposing yourself as a middle class elite remainer traitor. Even if you work in a car factory.

QuoteJapanese companies in the UK will be threatened by a no-deal Brexit, Japan's foreign minister has warned.

Taro Kono told the Today programme that some companies have already started moving their operation to others parts of Europe.

"We do not want to disrupt the economic relationship with the UK. We've been asking the UK government to let the Japanese companies know what to expect."

Mark Francois looks like a caricature. Spitting Image would scarcely need to change anything to make him a hideous puppet. How is he a real, actual person?

I'm with Terry Christian when he says brexiteers should be the first to experience the 'short-term pain' they knowingly voted for: https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/top-stories/terry-christian-in-fiery-brexit-debate-with-wetherspoon-boss-tim-martin-1-5893583

Brexit Party MEPs turn their backs for the EU anthem. So pathetic. Won't turn their backs on the filthy EU gravy train though will they?

Shame Biggy's not here to explain why this is good socialist behaviour. Fucking embarrassing.

Fambo Number Mive

As you say, jobotic, they could have given most of the salary to charity or even refused to take it. And I wonder what expenses they will claim between now and October 31st.

They want to annoy the EU as much as possible as they think this will mean a No Deal.

The antics of the Brexit Party in the European Parliament are nothing new.

Here, Nazi Party deputies turn their backs on the speaker in the Berlin Reichstag, 1926. Joseph Goebbels can be seen writing on the bench of the person sitting behind him.

Farage, definitely not a nazi.

Someone should start a petition that demands they not take their salaries or expenses, only taken from an ultra-Brexiter stance about how they are selling out the Brexit ideal by accepting the EU's cash.

Nope. Farage has stated publicly that he's going to take his fat EU pension because "why should I and my family suffer?" Nobody seems to care.

3 of those trains were in the UK, weren't they?

Why shouldn't they take the salary? it's a full time job, no? if not, why is the salary at the level it is?
if it is a full time job, then they should take the money - ESPECIALLY the expenses for travelling from the UK
would you advocate for us not taking our seats in a parliament that rules over us? taxation without representation?

absolute fucking state of the left

Tomrrow I'm going to turn my back on my colleagues and shout abuse at them if they ask me to do the job I'm being paid to do.

But they're not doing the job. It's the equivalent of that butler/nurse fella you have turning up for work and just farting around on the internet all day.
