I could never get into SFA (or indeed Eels) because someone I REALLY dislike was a fan of theirs.

I like The Eels but haven't seen them live. Someone told me they were at an odd gig of theres where everyone had to sit in silence with no singing or enjoying yourself and they even had a couple of people who stood up got chucked out. I think that if I'd known that I'd be put off by how seriously they take themselves.
