They're bringing back the withdrawal act at the beginning of June for a 4th go https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48275827

No suggestion how they are going to get enough votes for it this time, but I suspect the strategy now is to hope the EU elections are such a total disaster, for both the tories and Labour, it scares enough MPs into line.

Theresa May clearly believes in 'if at first you don't suceed keep smacking your head against the wall until you do'.

It's madness. There is no other word for it. How can that be in anyway rational?

The party is far more likely to ditch her than let her have a fourth go.

It passes the time.

For who? Theresa May remains the best of all possible leaders of the Conservative party, formidable though that thought is.

I didn't say it was sane, but they are clearly fucked off with her beyond all reason.

One Tory the other day was calling for a pact with The Brexit Party where they only field sitting MPs in an election and let Farage's mob have a free run at the rest. The party has completely lost it's fucking mind.

The results of the local elections were interpreted as WE DEMAND BREXIT NOW so maybe a big Brexit Party result will men WE MUST REMAIN.

They should just vote for the damn thing, our future relationship with the EU isn't going to be decided now, but whatever it is it can't be decided at all until we actually leave.

Right - but that represents one wing of the party.

Removing Theresa still represents an excessive risk to that wing or the other, compared to letting her trundle along winding everyone up but never actually resolving anything.

Nah. Not least if our future relationship is "member state with the special considerations we have now".

For now, we will pass the time.

Latest yougov poll has the brexit party ahead in every region of the UK except Scotland where it is comfortably second behind the SNP. In 3 regions they have more than tory and labour combined.

So the most popular 'party' has no manifesto, no members and all its candidates selected by one man.

How very democratic.

LedByDonkeys are working on publishing their manifesto for them, starting with:

Latest yougov poll:

Quote
BXP35+1
LD 16+1
LAB 15-1
GRN 10-1
CON 9-1
CHUK 5=
UKIP 3=
Large sample 7,192
FW May 12-18

Labour slipping to third, Brexit party has more than next two combined.

Keep up the strategy of negative campaigning about Farage etc though, it's working an absolute treat isn't it?

Some analysts have said it looks like mostly remainers have left Labour to vote elsewhere in this election. Now the talks are finally collapsing we might see a shift in position from the main opposition. The LibDems, Greens and the eleven people voting for the CUKs are solidly remain, but of those still voting Tory and Labour how many are Remainers and how many Leavers?

That same poll has a breakdown, most brexit voters have come from the tories, but some from labour aswell. Both the main parties have lost a staggering 76% of support to them.

It's not a strategy is it?  Farage has shown support for the National Front, he has sung Hitler Youth songs whilst marching through British villages, he has employed members of the National Front, he has sucked up shamelessly to Trump, he does have ties with Arron Banks who is being investigated for electoral fraud, he is pals with Steve Bannon who, along with Banks, were involved in the Cambridge Analytica scandal (another area of electoral rule-breaking), he is living in a £13,000 a month rented house in Chelsea for free which is being paid for by a "secret" "donor", he has received nearly half a million pounds from Banks since the referendum but he's tried to hide it and he hasn't explained what Banks is buying for that huge sum, he did say he thought the NHS should be replaced with an insurance based system, he did tweet his dismay at the EU's plans to raise maternity pay.

He is a con artist fascist cunt and anyone who votes for him needs their head examined.

A prime example there of why you will lose, not only do you fundamentally not understand why people are voting for the brexit party, you keep pursuing a negative strategy proven to be totally ineffective and self defeating.

Keep going though, remain can defeat themselves without much help from people who just want to leave the EU.

62% have gone from the Tories to the Brexit Party.

14% have left the Labour Party for the Brexit Party.

This is astonishing dishonesty and any reasonably intelligent person would be ashamed of it.

This is true. People don't care that he's a racist, a hypocrite, a liar, a drunk, all this. He's allowed to be, because he wants to do Brexit. Just like Trump. Yes, he's exactly the same as the people he's saying he isn't at all the same as, but he's allowed to be because he doesn't want Mexicans in the USA.

Do you agree with the EU's racist migration policies, its concentration camps in Libya, it's deal with Erdogan, its 1000 miles of Trump like border walls and the 30,000 dead Africans in the med? If not then SHUT UP PLEASE.

If only people were voting for the Brexit party because of Nigel Farage's views on race, the NHS or his prefered crisp flavour. Until you see people are voting for the Brexit party because they are a single issue pressure group in a meaningless election that exists as a protest against the overturning of the biggest electoral result in our history then you'll keep losing. You've come to a gun fight with a knife.

Also, if you support overturning the referendum result - You are the extremist.
