So, first off, it's wonderful that awareness about global warming and climate change is getting huge platforms like this - really lovely stuff.

However, on the other hand... What the fuck is this? It's so odd. The level of humour seems to be aimed at children but is full of swearing and talking about cum. Then there's the weird bit where America 'forgives' Germany which seems intensely arrogant (the whole video's got the 'America-as-saviour' vibe), and then there's the final bit where Lil Dicky tells us that Leonardo Di Caprio knows more about climate change than anyone else.

I understand the reason for this video's existence, and appreciate any effort to get people to pay attention to the shitshow of an apocalypse we have on our hands - if this does turn people's heads on the matter, then that's the main thing, regardless of the quality of the song.

But... Why this guy? Who is he? Why did they give him a platform this huge when there are plenty of other great songwriters who would have made something infinitely more memorable and marketable? I'm slightly baffled by it.

Utter Shit

Lil Dicky is the man and I will not see him disrespected like this. I'm going to have to ask you to apologise.

Let Me Freak is actually amazing.

Utter Shit

Yeah love that, Save Dat Money and Molly are great too.

Sebastian Cobb

Lol, yes, Molly is actually beautiful. He really does do a good job of comedy and being an actual good musician.

This song is awful. Just a big showbiz circlejerk. Shouldn't have expected anything else from the guy who tried to redeem Chris Brown.

Chris Brown doesn't need anyone to redeem him. Bizarrely for a woman beating cunt he still seems to be very highly regarded.

I don't get him or lonely island. To me this is the best parody environmental song https://youtu.be/DMNB51Ev7bA

Edit: I just realised Pink has a song called Dear Mr President released 5 years after BoyZvoice that is more cringey

The environment is the 'in thing', expect a Renaissance of socially conscious pop.

What I like about this is that if fails. He was hoping to bring attention to the environmental lyrics through the video 'drama' of celebrity and he failed. Suck on that chosen one.

I think Lil Dicky surprised everyone yesterday with a freestyle that was utterly bananas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzgjglZqS3Y

I like Lil Dicky but I was a bit put off him when he brushed off Brown being a woman beating cunt as his "controversial past" as if it was a perfectly acceptable attribute of Chris Browns character. That freestyle recently posted is admittably very impressive though
