PFFR have released a new short and it's animated bits of the Bible, I've not seen it yet (as it's region blocked on the website) but for those in America or with VPN's it's here: https://www.adultswim.com/videos/specials/di-bibl

Brilliant stuff. Then I let the website play the next video and it was fantastic too.

Was really surprised to research the first story and find that the wording is actually exactly from a version of the bible.

I got the florid, unintelligible bible readings as a kid. These plain English ones really show how nuts it all is.

Eeeh, bit disappointing really. Just the usual internet atheist Bible quotes, with nothing on top. No twist or deeper insight. I'm on board with it, the Bible is full of utter bollocks, but we should be (and have been) beyond this level when criticising it.

Similarly, having the 'covet thou neighbours wife' bit (or whatever the quote is) being played by a Louis CK avatar was just obvious. Yes, it's all correct, but it needs more to be funny.

Xavier it most definitely is not.

The visuals were appropriately disturbing and ugly but I agree that there wasn't much depth to it.

It should be noted that this wasn't a typical PFFR production (i.e. written and directed by John Lee and Vernon Chatman) but was primarily the work of visual artist Kytten Janae.
