Some good stuff here so far (and only one song I can say I actively dislike) but I'd just like to say that it should Wanna Be Startin Somethin by Jacko and The Happening by The Supremes. Obviously. And We Don't Talk Anymore by Cliff.

New page that's neat that's neat that's neat that's neat.

Focus - Sylvia
Syreeta - Harmour Love
Move - California Man

Brundle-Fly

Oh Lori - Alessi
Boogie Nights - Heatwave
Wichita Lineman - Glenn Campbell
Walk On By - Dionne Warwick
Loser - Beck
Tears Dry On Their Own - Amy Winehouse
Strange Brew - Cream
Rainbow Chaser - Nirvana (the sixties band)

Since everyone else is doing more than one song I'd also like to nominate House Of Fun by Madness and Ca Plane Pour Moi by Plastic Bertrand.

"Funky Town" by Lipps Inc., the greatest song ever written.

DukeDeMondo

"Black Magic" by Little Mix. Absolutely fucking sublime. Sublime, now. Also on the X Factor kick, still, "With Ur Love" by Cher Lloyd. Just sweeps me up and away to the moon and the stars every time. "Feel like I'm on top of the world..."

"I Really Like You" by Carly Rae Jepson. Perfection.

"Blue Savannah" by Erasure. Big blue hand, but, Andy Bell pirouetting. Och. And their version of Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill." Sounds like The Magnetic Fields a wee bit, their take.

In fact, The Magnetic Fields. "Strange Powers." Strange powers indeed.

Something a bit more couple months ago: "Only Child" by Tierra Whack. "Dahlin', dahlin', I been prayin' for you, for you-hooo"

Fuck Mud. It's I Can Do It by The Rubettes.*

* obligatory mention by me that I've met the drummer and he's a cunt.

Well, I wasn't going to mention this (until Christmas possibly) but one of Wizzard's drummers (they had two) lives round the corner from my girlfriend. And See My Baby Jive is almost as perfect a pop song as Tiger Feet.

Dusty Substance

I can't remember the last time I didn't play Blondie's Heart Of Glass as part of a DJ set. I think it's the perfect pop song and the always positive reaction it gets from all ages and genders adds weight to my opinion.

Could be so many things, but I'll go with Family Fodder - Debbie Harry (better than any actual Blondie song).

Ah, that's great. I've not heard that much by them but everything I have heard I've enjoyed.

Must investigate further...

My 18 year old self would kill me for typing this, but:

Take On Me - a-ha (might even be best tune ever)
Heartbreaker - Mariah Carey.
Chorus - Erasure (was going to put blue savannah, but most vince Clark tunes really).
Somethings got a hold of my heart - the gene pitney and Marc almond version.

Taken me years to put aside my snobbishness and give credit where credit is due.
