Disney music.

As a 90s child, I grew up with a lot of great Disney films, in my opinion, and they all had excellent songs in them. Are they actually good though or are they all formulaic? I feel like every Disney song hits that certain part of your brain that laps up saccharine, catchy tunes.

Does anyone else love music from Disney films or am I an infantilised man-child?

They were good in the 90s because Alan Menken was writing the music, and because Howard Ashman got them to do proper integrated book musicals.

Disney haven't included any songs in the trailer for the new Lion King and the classic Jungle Book songs were only alluded to the live-action one. They'd be mad not to give the audience fill versions of Hakuna Matata etc.

Moana has some great songs. My daughter loves them a lot more than I do but they're good.

Kids watched the Jungle Book yesterday, which I never have. The music at the beginning was lovely, nice bit of bassoon.
