From where? Are you suggesting it's been on holiday? Or are you suggesting that for a small amount of time we didn't have democracy but it's suddenly returned? At which point in time was democracy absent?

Can you narrow down this time period? From which point was democracy abroad?

It enjoyed free travel around the EU for quite a while.

0.5% of the school curriculum = ~4 hours 45 minutes of enforced gay indoctrination 'some kiddies have two dads or two mums'.

Unless there is a lot of repetition, that's plenty of time to go over some pretty niche and bizarre sexual deviancy, including watching some depraved video material, reading erotic and subversive material round the class and even some practical sessions. Well I for one thinks this is going too far, in my day we had to make do with strange and unexplained stirrings in the changing rooms and while in a rugby scrum next to a weirdly pretty lad who still flickers into my mind sometimes while I am with my wife.

Here's some fresh dirt on Hopkins, gratis: She was recently in Norway, speaking at Oslo Military Society. She appeared at the invitation of document.no; a right wing, anti-islam, immigration-critical website that became a household name when it become known that Anders Behring Breivik was an active poster there for a while, and even contacted the editors, offering his services. That made a PR nightmare for them, but the site seems to be doing well today: Hosting speakers like Hopkins, Douglas Murray and similar commentators from around the world at occasional events, and reporting mainly on crime, demographics, anti-populism in the MSM, and so on. Pro-Trump, pro-Israel. Founded by former hardline Marxists. Has a regular arts column, and its very own Garrison-type cartoonist (only she's an attractive lady, and became a leftie-baiting provocateur almost overnight afaict).

I watched a good chunk of the video to get a sense of the main theme, and around the five minute mark, she starts laying out the Five Phases of the Islamic Takeover, but quickly moves on to anecdotes from her travels in Poland and South Africa. Some scare stories from Britain. She really doesn't like Mayor Khan, does she? Very unpleasant story from Finland.

There's an incriminating slip-up at around 18:40.

She speaks approvingly about AfD, Salvini and Le Pen, but she seems to have misjudged the audience slightly. None of her laugh lines seem to get a laugh, and the crowd is mostly silent, until forced to applaud a Finnish mother on her birthday. Basic Norwegian rudeness to some extent, but Hopkins is probably a notch too smug and clearly too superficial to defend whatever the tickets may have cost. Also, I think even the islamophobes baulk somewhat at phrases like "national pride" and "new generation". She really has the air of a barely repressed zealot, just waiting for the first cheers of approval to set her off in a louder, less ambigous tone of voice. I'll slot her next to Piers Morgan in the "famous British hate objects who - almost unbelievably - seem to have earned their reputation" category.

At 33 minutes, she drinks Labour tears from a glass. You're welcome.

QuoteIn a tweet posted earlier today, anti-Islam activist Hopkins shared a photo of her in the home of Shakeel Afsar and alongside Amir Ahmed, who have both voraciously led protests challenging LGBT equality education at Anderton Park Primary School in the city.

The Guardian really is a shithole these days.

What a time we live in when it takes Katie Hopkins to defend religious freedom.

Must irk some that she's more principled than spineless failure Jeremy Corbyn.

Fuck off

My kids and the kids they go to school with know all about LGBT stuff and really couldn't be arsed. It is just a fact of life to them, no more or less interesting or outrageous than any other normal thing. It is the old cunts who hold onto this stigma and taboo.

>80% of the world doesn't have SSM.

Kids in Africa having to make do with basic hard drives. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are.

I do wonder how some of these 21st cenutury alt-right types used to (apparently) be Marxists - we've got our own version with those Spiked* divots.

But, then, lesser Hitchens did the same journey back in his youth so there must be some kind of logic to it.

*which reminds me that I am a little curious as to what Spiked's stance on the Irish border is, given the stuff O'Neil came out with when he was teaching Journalism.

Don't feed the troll, please.

The same could be said of Katie Hopkins.  If we ignore her, she ceases to exist.

For someone who's so vehemently anti-LGBT, she sure does look an awful lot like the very stereotype of a lesbian.

""If you take your kids to school today, you're not a Muslim and you'll burn in hell."

Can we not remember being kids ourselves? Were we not also aware of the existence of gay men and women in loving relationships, that they had been an oppressed minority for centuries and were now free to sing if they were glad to be gay? Were we not aware of sex changes? I double-took when I read that the man who wrote the Hancock's Half Hour theme tune had gone to Hollywood, become female and composed scores for Wonder Woman, it was interesting, but it wasn't outrageous. Maybe I went to an unusually liberal school.

QuoteIt is the old cunts who hold onto this stigma and taboo.

Er, well, them and the Muslim cunts, or do you mean the Muslims who want homosexuality banned are just the old ones?

This isn't unusual or surprising, check out the early days of fascism and notice how many of them were led to it via Marxism. Then ruminate for a while on the phrase National Socialism, and ponder how easy it might be to jump from one murderous totalitarian dogma to another.

I guess I was musing more on whether they hold any real political beliefs (that they ever really believed in Marxism) or are just floating around looking for something to validate their prejudices.

I would never dream of defending Mike Stuchbery!! No I've never sought to defend every action ever committed by anyone, and I think punching people from behind is wrong, but obviously the context for this isn't clear. After all that guy might have been a Nazi, Tommy has got into trouble before for laying out Nazis.

Try singing it to the tune of "the teddy bears' picnic".

If you go down to the school today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the school today
You'd better go in disguise!

For ev'ry "Bear" that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
today's the day
the Evil Gays spread their agenda.

Personally, I had never noticed that famously bad thing National Socialism contained the word Socialism before.

We have the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, yet there's never been a Totalitarian Kingdom of anywhere. Makes me wonder if this democracy lark is everything it's cracked up to be.

I wrote this https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2009/jan/23/angela-morley-obituary-wally-stott, actually the transition predated going to Hollywood.
