yes, ideally they would be going in miles per hour. the trams too.

Travelling in miles per hour is faster than travelling in kilometres per hour, so this will help you deliver on your main customer promise. However, it will present compatibility problems if you want your TOC to operate outside of the UK. They don't actually have miles on the continent, so your rolling stock would just stay in the same place for an hour if you tried to use it there.

Update: Just been informed by the city council that I'm not allowed to hack up all the roads in the city centre at once to build tramways because of some trumped up fucking jobsworth excuse, something to do with cars or buses or something. I will of course be jumping straight ahead to the aquatrams phase of the plan, but more pressingly: would anyone be interested in buying the 36 pneumatic drills I currently have no use for? I'm open to any price but please note that you will need to buy all of them because I'm not selling them individually, it's package deal or GTFO.
