Just a heads up there's a WARP weekend on NTS now with a load of new stuff across the weekend

https://www.nts.live/

ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER in five mins. New BOC mix Sunday night

Twed

Good to see Mira Calix is still kicking about

purlieu

Autechre have two shows of archived material from 1989-1993, which sounds pretty fascinating.

jobotic

I was at that Onehotrix Point Never show. Don't get too excited.

phes

Wasn't great was it. This autechre hour is ace though!

Cuntbeaks

Is BOC the elephant in the room then?

A 2hr slot, can't see them pressing play on a cd full of old stuff. Surely there's gonna be new material.

What an excellent idea. Genuinely exciting.

Phil_A

Did anyone catch the Broadcast slot? I'm kicking myself up the arse for missing that.

phes

I caught it but I was drifting in and out of sleep. It did sound excellent. Hopefully a bunch of this stuff is/will be available at some point, somewhere

i was there too. i thought the sound was bad but i figured that was just cos of sitting in that dumb place they made me sit. was it just crap all over huh

Sebastian Cobb

Busy the now, is it getting archived?

Twed

So is it on Mira Calix being currently active, and just something old being re-aired?

I don't know why I keep going on about Mira Calix, I don't know any of her tracks. It just feels like she was "the girlfriend of one of the Autechre ones" around 2001 and then disappeared.

purlieu

She mostly does art installations and things these days.

Funcrusher

I'm intrigued to hear the BoC thing as I've got quite into Tomorrow's Harvest recently.

Arse. I forgot about this after your headsup yesterday, phes.

Never mind, I've tuned in just in time to catch Ryuichi Sakamoto's mix. Nice abstract Raster Noton-style electronic stuff at the moment.

Cuntbeaks

Can anyone recommend a good free program for recording these sets?

BlodwynPig

Johnny Yesno

Fuck, there's a week of this for me to mostly miss.

Funcrusher

BoC was a taking you on a journey mixtape of stuff they like. Already uploaded on the interwebs.

Johnny Yesno

The Susumu Yokota mix that's on right now is good.

Probably a stupid question, but does the (R) mean it's a repeat?

And is there anywhere on the site that has the playlists? Too many Shazam failures here.

The Broadcast mixes are on youtube now (but not on the main site for some reason, which I realised after I'd spent a perplexing hour trying to work out where they were)

Thanks for this - I was familiar with much of it, but I still like that Warp find time for the band that they never really knew what to do with.

Here's the archive of everything if anyone's struggling to find it and wants some nice mp3s:

Shame they didn't care to enough to commission anything new, though. As it turns out those mixes date back to 2013 and 2016 respectively.

Still desperately hoping James finishes and releases their final album with what he has of Trish's contributions.
