Good film news websites?

For the last few years I've lazily kept using BirthMoviesDeath as a place to check in on most days for film news even after every writer of interest left, and it became a comic book website.

Before that I used CHUD, which went the same way.

Where do you guys go? I want vaguely thorough updates on new movies, some thoughtful reviews and maybe the odd interesting feature. Just somewhere to check in and stay up to date.

Glebe

How about /Film and Collider? I also check out Cinemablend regularly, although tbh they post a lot of dumb articles and spoilery stuff.

Shit Good Nose

Between IMDB, Collider and Empire for major new releases and stuff going into production, Den of Geek for your more genre focused stuff, Sight and Sound/BFI for indie and world cinema and blu-ray.com for home video stuff, you're pretty much covered.

Alas there's no such thing as the perfect film website these days - TV shows and computer games have become such a huge and rivaling draw that no big site such as those mentioned is going to ignore them and concentrate solely on film.  Further, anything which has up-to-the-second news as one of its main selling points is unlikely to give too much page space to dense well written articles, whilst anything that tends to feature essays more heavily is unlikely to have a constantly refreshing newsfeed.

I visit Bloody-Disgusting everyday, for horror movie news.  I mostly rely on the reddit sub r/movies for general movie news.

Small Man Big Horse

About twenty odd years ago I used to regularly visit http://www.darkhorizons.com/, then forgot about it for years on and end but was really surprised to find a couple of months back that it was still going, and it's fairly decent on the news front.

Bad Ambassador

I've been reading Dark Horizons for so long, the earliest film I can remember them doing a story on some Australian film called Matrix with a bald Keanu Reeves.
