Srsly, how many Labour party members are such strict jews that they wouldn't feel able to participate in a debate on the Sabbath?

holyzombiejesus

Bet it being the sabbath doesn't stop them tweeting to slag Corbyn off.

NoSleep

As pointed out elsewhere; its the Labour Party talking about procedure regarding expulsions (presumably on any grounds).

How long has Labour Conference been held over a weekend?  I haven't looked at them all, the first, 27-28 February 1900, was held in the week.  Following that however, it seems that many if not all fell on days which included Shabbat.  That's a fuck of a long time.  Glad people now feel safe enough to raise it.

Dr Rock

QuoteAlthough directly operating electrical appliances is prohibited in Orthodoxy, several indirect methods are permitted according to some or all authorities. For example, Jews may set a timer before Shabbat to operate a light or appliance on Shabbat, and in some cases they may adjust the timer on Shabbat. Actions which activate an electrical appliance but are not specifically intended to do so may be permitted if the activation is not certain to occur or if the person does not benefit from the automatic operation of the appliance. For example, most authorities permit Jews to open a refrigerator door even though it may cause the motor to turn on immediately or later (not certain to occur); however, they prohibit opening the door if a light inside will automatically turn on (certain and of benefit). They also permit walking past a house with a motion sensor which switches on a light if the street is already well-lit (not of benefit), but not if it is dark.

Religions are daft aren't they.

Depends on whether it's more work to force it out or to keep it in.

And what if it is more work to hold it in.
Blame Corbyn for playing havoc with your bowels just before the sabbath

So this week in O'Brien news.

He likes Corbyn's stance on Brexit he says "he's cracked it" and "This is one the most astute things he has done" and that "he has effectively shot Swinson's fox"

This coming a week after he said that Corbyns antisemitism was theoretical whilst Johnsons racism was overt and clear.

Speaking of which one caller that sounded suspiciously like Tracey Ann Oberman called in to lambast  JOB for using such language as "he's cracked it" when he knew that he was talking about a man and "regime" that were so terrible.  She sounded really sinister saying things like "when accepted and credible journalists say things like this about....".  Really seemed like she was threatening JOB in some way it was very weird regardless of her point.  You can hear it on the catch-up player around the 1hr33 mark.

Well yeah, I thought it was funny as it's basically all the stuff we had over here when Corbyn first appeared but regurgitated for an American audience (who in fairness probably only heard of him last week, if then).

Where's that, then? I searched for it and got a page saying "The LBC Catch Up service is now closed." Apparently you have to install an app for it now, and fucked if I can be arsed to do that.

<edit> Installed the damn app but I couldn't find it. At 1:33 was a woman saying she was going to hold her nose and vote for Corbyn, then because the timer was counting down rather than up I tried 1:27 as well and found him equating Jeremy Corbyn to a mass murderer. So JOB can FRO.

Jeremy Corbyn, an American perspective:

QuoteThis means that there is a real possibility of the Labour Party, led by Jeremy Corbyn, forming the next government. And that would be grim news for the United States

Put that on the fucking election posters mate

Wow, a proper neocon website, madness. Like reading the socialist worker in 1999.

trigger ballots? Have you been invited to a selection meeting?

Fambo Number Mive

Blair's just made an attack on Corbyn: https://twitter.com/InstituteGC/status/1174737258190163969

QuoteTony Blair: Labour's ambiguous policy on Brexit is like turning up to a horse race where the Tories and Lib Dems are racing on thoroughbred horses, but Jeremy Corbyn turns up on a camel.

And in that race, I promise you, the camel doesn't come first.

Tony Blair: Jeremy Corbyn has acted wisely in blocking a General Election up to now and should continue in doing so. Mixing Brexit with an election would squeeze the Labour Party's vote. This can be avoided

Idiot

NoSleep

He thinks the rest of us are idiots. He's a neoliberal cunt with the blood of thousands on his hands.
