I can't sing this guys praises enough. I came across his latest EP on Friday and I can't stop listening to his stuff now. A big 90s electronica vibe, and his drum programming is outstanding. Understated but just grooves under your skin.

Listened for one minute and I'll be blasting this tomorrow morning in the car. Sounds excellent. Cheers.

yeah this fuckin slaps, cheers.

Schnapple

Co-sign, still obsessed with this one. Creative, lo-slung, softly druggy bliss.

I must've been pretty stoned last night because I got virtually nowt from this listening back this morning! Think I got hella whipped up in the beat on the first link in the OP, but yeah the whole thing is just a bit empty and boring. Sounds very much inspired by Royksopp and BoC but with nowhere near as much "eyes shut and smiling for the whole song duration" melodic bliss.

Listen AGAIN

It's quite a lot deeper than Royksopp or even BoC and it's not aiming for blissed out. It's something a little bit different. Ambient reggaeton, I'd say. Or rather, I saw someone else say. It's pretty sparse but it's one that's started to get under my skin. There's not much on the surface, though, I totally agree.

If your aim was to hook me in with the word "reggaeton" (and I know how much you long to impress me) then I'm afraid it's had the complete opposite effect.

Haha. I assumed that would be the kind of ethno beat tripe you'd be listening to at a smokehouse

DJ Python is very good, I like it a lot. From a deceptively simple loop he can craft something grooving a la Kassem Mosse or Anthony Shake Shakir. And the melodies he can spin - the guy has a very autechre-ian (Hi, I'm Autechre Ian) sense of melody: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-eaNHB12tk
