I saw one of Michael Gira's solo performances last year where he almost exclusively played new Swans material acoustically.  Makes me wonder if they might be going back into an Angels Of Light type of sound, but you never know.

it doesn't really sound like Angels of Light, it's more a tone-down continuation of The Glowing Man. I'm not that impressed tbh.

That's exactly what I thought, chveik. It's sort of not as good as either, is it? Then again, I know better than to judge a Swans album off one song, so I'm still waiting eagerly.

They've announced a tour. They're playing at Earth in Hackney which is such a fucking bizarre anus of a venue I really don't think I can be arsed going. Seriously I would absolutely love to see Swans but that venue sucks colossal amounts of ass.
