slapping a lovely tree

have you ever slapped a lovely tree? Perhaps it has angered you in some way and you were seeking revenge... perhaps you were trying to dislodge a stray balloon or some wasps... perhaps you were incredibly high and thought you were a woodsman's axe?

tell us in minute detail about the time you slapped a tree.

I don't slap trees.  I hug them, stroke them, pat them ... but never slap them.  Not least because I suspect the trees would win.

where is that fine line between cuddling and slapping a tree, and has it ever been crossed?

It has - but we never speak of it.  Never.

Never.
