Remember him on Play The Game, RTE's equivalent of Give Us A Clue.

My favourite Father Ted guest character and one of the most sinister screen performances ever

Brilliant.

But RIP as well.

EOLAN

Pre-Fr Ted; or just outside of Fr Ted, being bought up in Ireland I had an unsure feeling about Grace - (from a comedy perspective; not in a Harvey Weinstein set). Dermot Morgan would have been probably my few of Irish comics I would have liked; Brendan O'Carroll I found annoying then and the general set of Irish comedians just seemed old timey and mundane compared to what we were piping in from Wales (which opened me up to the British output of The Day Today, early Have I Got News For You etc...).
Grace did seem to be the best of the bunch and  I was very wary when he first appeared on Fr Ted; but he blew it out of the park. Seemed a good fun guy. I may not have quite been his target audience but seemed naturally affable and enthusiastic.

Rest in Peace.
