Eddie Murphy's first two specials were the first two specials I saw when I was 18, and then I went elsewhere, but I hope it happens and will definitely watch just to compare.

Urinal Cake

I guess it should be alright- tales of celebrity and sex. $70 million like seems too much money for that shit.

Some updates on his view of ice-cream could certainly be interesting.

Hoping he finally gives gay people the roasting of a lifetime!

I wouldn't mind Trading Places with someone who gets a $70m pay packet.

Won't happen. There's nothing in any of the reports to suggest there's any truth to this.

Urinal Cake

I don't know. Murphy does have a history of making people give him a lot of money for delivering shit.

Dr Rock

That's not a nice way to talk about Scary Spice's child.

Murphy is starring in a film about the comedian Rudy Ray Moore, better known as Dolemite, for Netflix.

I mean, it doesn't look great or anything, but at least Murphy looks like he's recaptured some of his old energy.

Wow, that's a great cast. But yeah, certainly looks like a Netflix movie.

From an article about this I saw just there

Quote
Ricky Gervais got $40 million for his last special, Chris Rock got $40 million for two specials, and Dave Chappelle got $60 million for two specials
Surely if Gervais, who'll do any old shite, got that much for a special, then Eddie Murphy, who seems like he'd be EXTREMELY reluctant to return to standup, would get a hell of a lot more than $70m...

That Gervais number has to be fake?

Anyways considering how awkward Murphy was on SNL a few years ago there, I can't really imagine him wanting to go on stage again unless it was absolutely necessary.

He was much more comfortable on stage during his Mark Twain Prize acceptance speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1PGPv_Q9sU

If you watch his Comedians In Cars episode, you'll see that he's very eager to get back into stand-up.
