Instrumental, minimalist metal. Repetitive two-note riff. Harsh and avant-garde. Like an exercise in how far you can reduce a riff before it's not music any more.

The artist, album or track name possibly connected to "Generation". 2014ish.

I swear to fuck I found it on one of Pitchfork's "best tracks of the year" lists but I've been through all of them for the last decade and can't find it.
