Steep rise in gambling and gambling complaints

The availability of gambling (and booze for that matter) is something that always seems jarring whenever I'm in the UK. Bookies in every high street or small clump of shops.

There's a very small row of about 6 shops just round the corner from my Mum's house, one of which was a credit union until a couple of years ago, when it closed down and reopened as...a branch of Coral.
