Morgan and Malan don't get on at all well apparently.

Morgan had a pop at Malan for 'trying to reach a personal milestone' over helping the team which is very harsh given he played a significant and well paced innings and has been in and out of the side on performances, ie not reaching milestones. The guy is probably wondering what they actually fucking want from him.

Fans of cricket played to the very highest standard will be pleased to learn Denly has taken ill. Malan IN.

Thursday

Congrats to South Africa on winning the T20's.

Wood and Jordans combined figures

7 - 0 - 96 - 1

8 4s,
7 6s

Meaning 30% of their deliveries were hit to the boundary.

In better news England Lions just scored 613 against Australia in Hobart lol

Darren Lehmann's son (fc av 34) is playing for their development team aged 27.

I did it. They really took my criticism to heart and it inspired them to victory. Good work from me.

Heh!

Amazing innings. Just purely went for 6s.

Never write off any team chasing in T20s. Even with the run rate up to 13 it was still doable with a set batsman.

Thursday

This is why we must keep the good old fashioned traditional T20 game. You'd never get a game like that at The Hundred.

druss

Does ANYONE outside of the people organising it think that the hundred is a good idea? At least 20/20 was very different to the one day game but there's only 20 deliveries between a 20/20 game and the hundred.

Thursday

100 balls just seems a bit much. Like hello that's triple figures! Modern audiences just don't have the patience for such a long sport.

druss

If they really wanted to try something new then just do "The fifty". The hundred is too similar to 20/20, what is point?

Cricket is starved of money and exposure and ever since the IPL the boards outside India have been desparate to find an event people will turn up to.

England's T20 Blast hasn't managed to find the same star power and glitz as that or the Big Bash, but despite relatively decent attendances and it reviving the local rivalries like Yorks/Lancs our board still have enough money to spaff on trying to invent the next big thing.

The event is just hoping and praying absolute saturation level PR will puncture through the cynicism. I fear they are wrong.

Unsurprising news but Faf GONE

Trott esque career where he got into the side relatively late, was great for a few years then started to tail off.

Was actually quite sad for him in the test series, you could see how much he wanted it but horribly out of form. Took some nasty sledging at times too and in the media conducted himself in a dignified way. One can only imagine how lonely that period must have felt when he was receiving so little support.

Not sure about the guy in general, but test matches are better for guys like Faf who at his best could have blocked out anyone.

I got tickets, but I'm not convinced but this either.

He seemed a good guy, integrity and grit. The South Africans often do even though their series with England can be quite edgy. They seem to wind the Aussies up a lot which is a big gold star for them.

The one exception is Mark Boucher who was a cheating git and also an alleged racist.

Great cricket from NZ v India so far. Great example of disciplined bowling after losing the toss. India going way into their shell and losing Kohli cheaply...

Hehe, the cunts lost. LOVE IT

Almost like a test in England. NZ were 221-7 then nearly won by an innings!

Class from Boult and Southee. As for India, techniques all over the shop... do they give a fuck though?

sevendaughters

it's mad how good NZ are at home in tests. you can't really say that they play in totally weird conditions. slow and low, a bit of swing, nothing major, you can bat if you dig in. anyway, glad India lost.

Inspector Norse

India are total dogshit away from home though. Only one away series victory against a top six team in the last eleven years, and that against Aus when Aus were rebuilding after sandpapergate and calling up anybody who'd ever attended a barbecue or worn flip-flops.

Inspector Norse

Mark Wood is injured again and misses the SL tour.
