If you could choose someone else's dying words, What would they be?

Boris Johnson - 'well, at least it's a nice ditch.

Jeremy Clarkson - 'don't be ridiculous, of course I can take this bend at 80mph!'

Ricky Gervais - 'you just don't understand the comedy, yeah?'

biggytitbo - 'so that's  who was on the grassy knoll!'

That has bought back some memories. 2005-2006 or so I had a Peugeot 306. Great car. I remember taking a corner fast one night, n then seeing some headlamps closing up quickly behind me, being pulled over, and getting a right bollocking/dressing down.

At one point the officer said to me something like 'you took that corner at 85mph!? in a peugeot?!? I drive a volvo T5 and would not have attempted that corner at that speed.' I felt some weird sense of pride then, I knew I had taken the corner slower than that (top of third gear in that car was an indicated 85, and I had downshifted to 3rd n slowed down some more before the corner) but didn't want to backchat the policeman or dig my self deeper into a hole, so let it go.

Anyway I guess the feeling is that as long as nothing unpredictable happens you can keep going. Once something unpredictable happens, or something on the car fails or you can't trust it anymore, you have 1 or two seconds of thinking something like 'ok, maybe I have misjudged this' before the impact.

Shit Good Nose

True story - my dad's last words to me were "make sure you sell the drinks cabinets and get a decent price for them".  Sorry dad, but there's no fucking way I'll be able to get a decent price for those.  No fucking way.

It was actually just a small segment of satsuma in his mouth. Perfectly normal.
