Some films, to varying extents, are Must Watch Classics.

After today I will never be able to say that I haven't seen The Breakfast Club.

One thought I had while watching the film was that it's really fucking good.

Another thought I had was "did John Hughes just think 'fuck it' halfway through writing the script?

You have to significantly suspend your disbelief just to be OK with the smart-mouthed Bender turning up for a 7am Saturday detention, but when he sparks a cigarette you realise there's no way in hell he'd turn up for that thing. Later on all of the detention kids share some spliffs only to quickly sober up, but also it was Bender who rolled them from a massive stash he kept in his locker. There's also a bit where a Sheen/Estevez screams so loud they shatter a window. Ridick.

What classic films have you seen for the first time, and what did you notice?
