I'm pretty conventional so I'd look for 2001, Planet of the Apes, Night of the Living Dead, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and Once Upon a Time in the West.

Maybe because it references dates in 59 via the Newspaper? those tend to get brought up in stuff like The Dreamers.
