The worst thing is he'd be a fucking terrible guest

idunnosomename

there's a new half in the bag but i didn't find it terribly interesting tbh. though it is amazing where have all da movies gone

(no mention of boomer fight)

It most likely is that Caruso bloke writing this stuff - but Shatner has previous of acting like an arse, so it wouldn't exactly be hard to channel him

*does best Shatner impression* 'I don't ... know ... the man'

I do think Shatner missed a trick by calling his chat show 'Raw Nerve' instead of 'Shatner's Bassoon'

no one on the internet gets brass eye references anymore grandad

You're wrong, and you're a grotesquely ugly freak

I love Brett Gelman, so I'm excited to see Lemon now, which I had never heard of. Although it does all look very mannered, which can grate, I'm hoping Gelman can carry it.

What is it with these Adult Swim types making these sorts of movies? Heidecker did The Comedy, then Turkington/Hamburger did Entertainment.

nice but obviously phoned-in. don't think they were always that complimentary about his directing

Jay's greatest moment. Every day ends with a Tums festival

I think the bit where Mike goes insane with laughter during a Christmas BOTW is my favourite RLM moment.

Someone got Jonathan Frakes to record a cameo message to Mike and Rich.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

I've never understood Jay's comment about it being "borderline experimental". It's just a naff Matrix rip off, which was the style at the time.

My personal theory is that Paul W.S Anderson just uses excruciating amounts of needless slo-mo to pad out the run time.

Every film beyond the first one has minutes of it. One even starts with a five minute slo-mo opening and THEN rewound I think. State of it.

Lord Mandrake

I like this Halloween episode where Mike keeps accusing Jay of killing cats and Jay gets legitimately honking drunk.

You're right, they did.

Weird, I don't remember seeing that. Must be Kurtzman up to his old tricks.

resonates bit differently since Jack came out as a recovering alcoholic

still they clearly did genuinely fuck up that filming session because they legit got too pissed (except Rich Evans who doesn't drink)

I love hearing Mike & Rich talk Star Trek. Part 2 of their best of TNG is up.

The only thing missing from Mike talking about running to him mum to tell her the Enterprise had been destroyed is "28 years old I was".

Odd picks. But then I'd put The Royale in my top five, so I definitely get having a few guilty pleasures in there.

idunnosomename

as someone who just knows TNG from BBC2 (did they even show it all?) really interesting watch

There was a gap of a couple of years from 92-94 when Sky had the new episodes but the BBC showed them in the end. A lot of that stuff(and DS9) I actually watched first via rentals from Blockbuster when they had those 4 episode tapes, remember constantly checking the shelves to see when they came out.

The second half of the TNG top 5 is up...

Hopefully they carry on using the lockdown slowdown in releases to go back and look at more old Trek, maybe some B5 too?

That was an extent Half in the Bag. Best in a while. Although Aquaslash was good too. Moneyplane is just so much more layered though.
