What are you getting? Because all those searches return the parties' own respective homepages at the top of the results for me.

Labour one has that tory 'cost of Corbyn' website as top result.

They were embarrassingly out of date ads by the Brexit Party earlier. Farage trashing Boris's deal, etc.

And don't say 'simples'. No point in an ad blocker if you're just going to regurgitate that crap anyway. Simples.

Yes. I'm not interested in avoiding the ads myself. I'm interested in what most voters are seeing.

All of mine showed the French wikipedia page for each party, except the Tories who got their own website before the French wiki page.

The differences will be how Google Ads work, which is complicated.

I think polls might have an effect on the polls, if not much effect on the way that people end up voting.

My thinking is that most people probably already know how they are going to vote next month (and my guess is pretty much the same way they voted in 2017). However, anyone who is sensitive to headlines etc might feel a bit shy about expressing an intention to vote Labour at this stage. As more people do so, they start to feel confident, and express their confidence in the polls. It might make them more likely to show up on the day.

All just a theory - but how many swing voters have you ever met?

EDIT: affect/effect cunt

On the day of the EU referendum two people I worked with said they were going to vote after work... But hadn't decided which way yet.

Just saw this on the big screens in the gym (they have BBC One/BBC News channel playing all the time). Very odd. I thought it was a news piece where some reporter had caught him unawares in an office kitchen and decided to use this scoop opportunity to ask about what music he fucking listens to (The Rolling Stones and The Clash, if you're interested. If it's false it's a pathetic ruse to appear what Tories think is 'cool', if it's TRUE it's even more pathetic).
